CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected its Men's Lacrosse Athlete and Goalie of the Week. The winners were selected from nominations across the conference.
Devin Phelps from Cortland is this week's Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week. Phelps posted 10 points on four goals and six assists and added four ground balls in a 1-1 week for the Red Dragons (7-4, 2-0 SUNYAC). In a 17-8 setback at top-ranked RIT on Wednesday, he scored three goals and collected one ground ball. He then scored a game-high seven points on one goal and a career-best six assists and added three ground balls in a 14-9 home win versus Oneonta on Saturday. For the season, Phelps has 29 points on 11 goals and 18 assists.
Dallas Meyers from Brockport is the week's Men's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week. Meyers was a key contributor defensively in the 8-5 win over Potsdam. He racked up 16 saves over 60 minutes of play, with a 76.2 save percentage.
