Oneonta and Brockport Secure NCAA Bids

Oneonta State and The College at Brockport Men's Soccer teams will be playing in the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament as the field of 61 teams was announced Monday afternoon.

Oneonta is hosting a first and second round pod in the opening weekend of the Div. III men's soccer tournament. The Red Dragons will open against Baldwin Wallace. The other match-up on Saturday is Hobart College versus Penn State Behrend. On Sunday there will be a single game between the two Saturday winners beginning at 1pm.
The Red Dragons (14-2-2) earned the SUNYAC's automatic berth into the NCAA tournament by winning the conference championship this past Saturday. Oneonta has won 10 straight games and is unbeaten in its last 15 games. Baldwin Wallace (16-5) is making its first ever NCAA tournament appearance after earning an at-large bid.
Brockport (12-4-1), making its third consecutive NCAA appearance, finished second in the SUNYAC Tournament and earned an at-large Pool C bid to the tournament. In each of the last two seasons, Brockport has earned a first round victory before falling in the second round of the tournament.

The Golden Eagles will face Manhattanville College in the first round game Saturday, November 11 at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. The winner advances to play the winner of the Stevens Tech. vs. Lehman College at 5 pm Sunday. Manhattanville (15-3-1) and Brockport have only one common opponent as the Valiants dropped a 4-3 decision to the Ducks and Brockport posted a 2-1 double overtime victory at Stevens early in the season.
