New Paltz Women's Basketball Clinches Top Spot in SUNYAC Tournament
As the regular-season comes to a close, the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announces the top six women's basketball teams who will advance to the conference tournament. The State University of New York at New Paltz and Geneseo take the top two spots and earn a bye into the semifinals.
The No. 3 seed, Oswego will host the sixth-seeded Cortland Tuesday, Feb. 19 in the quarter finals at 6:00 p.m. While the No. 4 seed Oneonta will play host to Plattsburgh the fifth-seed Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
New Paltz will host the semifinal and final games, Friday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, Feb. 23 respectively. Friday, the Geneseo Knights will face the winner of the Oswego/Cortland game at 6:00 p.m. and the Hawks will take on the winner of the Oneonta/Plattsburgh game at 8:00 p.m Friday.
