WEEKLY AWARDS

  • Nominate through PrestoSports awards platform each Monday by 10 a.m., unless otherwise communicated (www.sunyacsports.com/awards) Nominations open Thursday.
  • Provide as much information as possible in the nomination description – records broken, competition vs. ranked teams etc.
  • Attach a link to an action photo for each nomination and the athlete's bio
  • There will be one release with all athletes - you can release on campus anytime after we release - you will receive an automated e-mail from PrestoSports

ANNUAL AWARDS

  • Coaching Staff of the Year - Be prepared to provide a full staff photo if your institution wins the staff of the year award (see awards appendix)
  • Provide a high-resolution action shot of award winners for plaques - PLEASE LABEL ALL PHOTOS WITH LAST NAME OF ATHLETE/COACH/STAFF

IN GAME EXPECTATIONS (regular season)

  • Conference competition must be streamed through the SUNYAC Sports Network.
  • Send stats in-game to the SUNYAC website for the following sports: field hockey, men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's ice hockey, baseball, softball, men's and women's lacrosse
  • If games are scored using PrestoSports in-game statistical programs, the stats will automatically feed to the conference. If not using PrestoSports in-game programs, then use PrestoSync to send XML files (created from either NCAA Live Stats or Stat Crew) to the conference during the game.

POST GAME CHECK LIST (regular season)

  • Upload XML file to PrestoSports and reconcile (make sure stats are assigned to the proper players)
  • Make sure score is finalized and correct on sunyacsports.com

EXPECTATIONS AS HOST (everything you will need is in the dropbox folder)

  • As the host of a SUNYAC championship your team earned the top/higher seed, but you and your staff need to be impartial with appropriate accommodations and recognition for all participants
  • Video-streaming of games with audio broadcast on HUDL
  • Interivew room / area (if needed)
  • Prior to competition, please read the SUNYAC sportsmanship statement linked on our sportsmanship page: www.sunyacsports.com/information/sportsmanship/index
  • Please have a workspace set up for SUNYAC representatives within sight of the competition and with access to power
  • Send the following to the conference office immediately following the championship
    • Championship team photo with banner
    • All-tournament and MVP photos
    • Elite 20 photo
    • All-tournament team list.The SID in coordination with the conference staff onsite will pick the all-tournament team. Please look ahead to the all-tournament make up in the awards appendix and have the ones from eliminated teams (if applicable) selected before the championship. Please use the following format and list in ascending order with athletes from the championship team and the MVP listed at the bottom.

PROMOTING INSTITUTIONAL MATTERS ON CONFERENCE SITE

  • E-mail story and photo (with no text) to be shared on our site.
  • If you don’t see your story on our site, reach out to make sure we didn’t miss it.
  • The image you provide will be adjusted to fit the dimensions of the SUNYAC story image (16x9 ratio), keep in mind the format of the front page image
  • Stories may not be shared right away depending on what is going on with conference business at the time. We will do our best to get information posted in a timely manner.
  • We will not post everything, the following is what we will share:
    • NCAA Results
    • National and Regional recognitions including
      • All-Americans and other national-level awards
      • Regional Players and Coaches of the Year
      • CSC Academic All-Americans
      • Weekly national awards (D3 National Team of the Week, etc.)
    • Hires or retirements (head coach or administration)
    • Community service
    • Special interest

RECORDS

  • Each season, let the conference office know about conference records that are broken by your athlete(s). See the website for current records in each sport.
