In two starts during the week, Whiteman went 1-0 with a 0.68 ERA. He allowed 11 hits, two walks and one earned run and struck out 13 in 13 and a third innings. Whiteman opened the week last Monday by allowing four hits in seven shutout innings in an 11-2 win at Oneonta. He fanned seven and walked one. Whiteman started Saturday at nationally fourth-ranked Oswego and gave up seven hits (only three after the first inning), one walk and one earned run and struck out six in six and a third innings in Cortland's win at Oswego that clinched the SUNYAC regular season title for the Red Dragons. Whiteman left in the seventh with the game tied 2-2 and received a no decision.
