John Esposito delivered a pair of strong relief appearances on the mound for Plattsburgh State Cardinals baseball during the week. The first-year opened with two flawless innings of relief against the New Jersey City University Gothic Knights, allowing just one hit while striking out one and keeping NJCU off the scoreboard. Later in the week, Esposito earned the win in relief against the SUNY Maritime Privateers, pitching 3.2 innings and striking out eight batters while allowing just one earned run. Across the two appearances, he combined for 5.2 innings with nine strikeouts, playing a key role in stabilizing the Cardinals’ pitching staff out of the bullpen.
