Macknik had a strong week for the nationally 20th-ranked Red Dragons, recording 17 ground balls and five caused turnovers, while also helping the Cortland defense only allow a combined 12 goals in two victories. IN a 19-7 victory over Nazareth on Wednesday, Macknik scooped up eight ground balls and also caused three turnovers. He followed it up with two more caused turnovers and nine ground balls in a 17-5 win over Scranton, an NCAA qualifier from last season, on Saturday afternoon.
