Amy Whitman, Defensive Athlete, New Paltz

Amy Whitman was dominant defensively to lead the Hawks to a 12-4 win over visiting Fredonia. She picked off numerous passes while in the team's zone defense and matched a career-high four caused turnovers in the game. She was also active all over the field and totaled a career-high seven ground balls, which also ranked tied for third-most in single season history. The junior captain presence and voice was crucial in containing the Blue Devils offense, which notched just 12 shots, six on goal for a season-low four goals scored.
