Senior Spotlight: Jordan Penkitis
CORTLAND, N.Y. - This week's State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Field Hockey Senior Spotlight is on Geneseo's Jordan Penkitis.
The adolescent education major led the Knights to a program record 19-3 finish and a 2019 SUNYAC championship a season ago. A first-team All-SUNYAC selection at midfield, Penkitis scored nine goals and tallied 10 assists, including the setup on the Knights' game-winning overtime goal in the SUNYAC championship. A three-time All-SUNYAC honoree, Penkitis was also named All-Region in 2019.
Head Coach Margaret McConnell said of Penkitis, "Jordan is a leader both on and off the field. She puts her team first and cares deeply about each of her teammates. She's one of the hardest workers on the team and elevates her play when faced with the stiffest challenges."
