PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. Cortland captures the 2016 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's basketball championship title with a 77-74 win over Oswego Saturday. The Red Dragons earn an automatic bid into the 2016 NCAA Division III men's basketball tournament.Â
The MVP of the tournament, Carrel Joseph scored 24 points and grabbed six rebounds to led Cortland to its sixth overall SUNYAC title and first since 2013. Brian Sortino had 27 points for Oswego.
