Cortland to Host SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Championship
Top-seeded Cortland defeated No. 4 Oneonta, 15-3, in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's lacrosse semifinal game this afternoon at Cortland. With the win Cortland earned the right to host the championship game Saturday at a time to be announced.
Cortland will face No. 3 Plattsburgh who defeated second-seeded Potsdam, 11-6, today at Potsdam. When Cortland and Plattsburgh met earlier this season, the Red Dragons beat the Cardinals by one, 11-10.
The Red Dragons and head coach Steve Beville look to capture their seventh-straight SUNYAC title and 22nd overall. The Cardinals hope to claim their first-ever SUNYAC crown.
