Prieto and Lucas Take SUNYAC Men's Soccer Weekly Awards
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC selects Buffalo State's Manu Prieto as the Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week and Oneonta's AJ Lucas as the Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Prieto had a dominant week for Buffalo State as he was a key contributor in three wins over Brockport, Houghton, and Hilbert. Across the three wins, Prieto tallied 13 points on five goals and three assists including a pair of goals in each win over Brockport and Hilbert.
Lucas finished the week with six saves for a 1.000 save percentage while recording a solo and combined shutout in Oneonta's 2-0 week. Lucas started the week with three saves in a combined shutout performance as he played 77:27 in the Red Dragons win over Hartwick. He recorded another three saves and kept the net empty in Oneonta's 1-0 road win at RPI. Lucas currently has two shutouts and two combined shutouts this season.
