Cortland Set to Host SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Championship as Top Seed
The Cortland Red Dragons women's lacrosse team ended regular season conference play undefeated, 8-0, and earned the No. 1 seed in the playoffs as well as home field advantage. Cortland will host the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships Friday and Saturday, May 2-3.
The fourth-seeded Oneonta will host fifth-seeded Brockport Tuesday, April 29 at 3pm with the winner advancing to play Cortland in the second round Friday at 12:30 p.m. No. 2 Geneseo will take on No. 3 Fredonia at 3pm Friday with the winner advancing to the championship game set for Saturday, May 3 at 1pm.
Cortland will look to defend the SUNYAC title for the 15th straight season and sixth-consecutive time under head coach Kathy Taylor.
