Cortland Captures 2025 SUNYAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Title
CORTLAND, N.Y. - Cortland won the 2025 SUNYAC women's outdoor track and field championship with 238 points across the two-day championship meet. The meet ran Friday and Saturday at Cortland's Stadium Complex. This is the Red Dragons 18th overall SUNYAC women's outdoor track and field title. Oneonta finished second while SUNY Delhi was third.
Awards
The SUNYAC Most Valuable Performer is awarded to the athlete with the most combined points at the SUNYAC two-day championship meet. This year Oneonta's Jaiden Schrag earned this honor with 31 total points.
The Rookie of the Meet is the student-athlete of who scores the most team points across first-year competitors at the conference championship. Jaiden Schrag from Oneonta, was honored with this award as well.
The All-Conference first, second and third teams consist of the top three finishers in each event.
The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.
This year there is a tie with both athletes holding a 4.00 GPA. Cortland's Colleen Patrie, is a junior inclusive childhood education major and Plattsburgh's Grace Estus, is a sophomore English major.
