Hubbard Named Cortland Field Hockey Head Coach

Tiffany Hubbard has been named the field hockey head coach at SUNY Cortland, according to director of athletics Mike Urtz. Hubbard takes over for Cynthia Wetmore, who recently retired after coaching the Red Dragons to an overall record of 271-74 from 1998-2015.
"I'm thrilled about the opportunity to become part of SUNY Cortland and its athletic department," Hubbard said. "Coach Wetmore has created a culture of excellence with the field hockey program, and I'm looking forward to maintaining and building on that great tradition."
Hubbard most recently served as the associate head coach of the field hockey program at Div. I Ohio University. Prior to her position with the Bobcats, Hubbard was the field hockey head coach at Div. I Georgetown University for seven seasons. The Hoyas received seven National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Academic Team Awards and placed 66 student-athletes on the NFHCA National Academic Squad during her tenure.
Hubbard earned bachelor's degrees in business and criminology and criminal justice from the University of Maryland, where she compiled 102 points in 93 games. A three-time NFHCA second team All-Region selection, she helped lead the Terrapins to three NCAA Div. I Final Fours and the program's fourth national title as a senior.
A native of Marathon, N.Y., Hubbard competed for the U.S. Under-19, Under-18 and Under-16 field hockey teams and also has been involved in the National Futures program.
