Holiday Skate Brings Joy to Oswego While Raising Money
OSWEGO, N.Y. - As per tradition, the Oswego State men’s and women’s ice hockey teams hosted their Holiday Skate this year on December 9, with proceeds from the event going to SEFA/United Way. Over $800 was raised at the event, which is the most in the event’s history.
Over 250 skaters attended to skate with their favorite Lakers and 25 raffle tickets were sold for prizes, such as a skateboard and helmet. Hot chocolate was served and Santa Claus made an appearance at the rink. Also, Team Mini showed off its mini Zamboni at the event, while also dispersing SEFA t-shirts.
