SUNYAC soccer and field hockey finals set for Saturday
The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) championship matchups are set for field hockey, women's soccer and men's soccer after Wednesday's semifinal games.
Field Hockey
Top seeded Cortland will host the championship game Saturday at 1 p.m. after defeating No. 4 Oneonta, 2-0, on Wednesday. In the other semifinal game, No. 2 New Paltz beat No. 3 Geneseo, 2-1.
The last time Cortland and New Paltz met on Sept. 26, the Red Dragons topped the Hawks, 1-0.
New Paltz won the SUNYAC title last year for the third straight year and third time ever. Cortland captured its 14th SUNYAC crown in 2011.

Women's Soccer
No. 1 Buffalo State defeated No. 4 Plattsburgh, 4-1, Wednesday in Buffalo. The Bengals earned the right to host No. 2 Oneonta who topped No. 6 Oswego, 2-1, in Oneonta. The championship game is set for Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Bengals defeated the Red Dragons, 1-0, when they last met on Oct. 24.
Buffalo looks to capture its first-ever SUNYAC women's soccer title while Oneonta has 12 under its belt with the last one in 2013.

Men's Soccer
Top seeded Oneonta will host Brockport in the SUNYAC men's soccer championship Saturday at 1 p.m. The Red Dragons beat No. 4 Plattsburgh, 3-0 while No. 2 Brockport outlasted No. 3 Cortland, 2-1, in overtime Wednesday in the SUNYAC semifinals.
Oneonta beat Brockport, 1-0, when they last met Oct. 2.
Defending champions, Oneonta looks to capture its ninth title overall. Brockport will fight for its 11th crown and first since 2009.
