Wirth and Kohlhoff Recognized as SUNYAC Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC honors New Paltz's Jack Wirth as its Men's Swimmer of the Week and Cortland's Kevin Kohlhoff as its Men's Diver of the Week.
Wirth was a key swimmer in the Hawk's win over Union College this past weekend. Wirth dominated the men's 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.31, touching 2.24 seconds ahead of second place. Wirth also placed first in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:07.22. He was the first leg for the Hawks in the first place 200-medley relay with a time of 1:38.82. He was also the second leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay touching second, with a time of 1:30.92.
Kohlhoff won the 1-meter diving competition during Cortland's season-opening dual meet at Rochester. His score of 294.60 points meets the NCAA regional qualifying standard, giving him the first of two qualifying performances needed during the regular season to qualify for regionals.
