Schaffert and Dabrowski Take Home SUNYAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week Honors
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Cortland's Matthew Schaffert is this week's SUNYAC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Penn State-Behrend's Dan Dabrowski is this week's Field Athlete of the Week.
Schaffert finished first out of 53 competitors in the 200-meter dash at the Cortland Red Dragon Open. He posted a time of 22.27 seconds. He also anchored the winning 4x100-meter relay team that won with a time of 41.49 seconds, an AARTFC qualifier that currently ranks 19th nationally in Division III.
Dabrowski, a senior from Harborcreek, PA, earned third in the discus throw championship with a mark of 48.11 meters at the Dave Labor Invitational this week.
