SUNYAC Track and Field Comes Together for Boston
The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) outdoor track and field athletes and coaches came together last week at the conclusion of the SUNYAC Championships at SUNY Cortland to show their support for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.
"It was really heart-warming to see us all there together," said Steve Patrick, the SUNY Cortland men's and women's track and field head coach and host of the SUNYAC Tournament.
This event hit home for a lot of SUNYAC track and field athletes and coaches, as there were several family members, friends, alumni, and employees who were in attendance at the Boston Marathon. The SUNYAC track and field athletes and coaches wanted to come together to show their conference-wide support for the victims of this senseless attack.
