Johnson and Ndukwu Tabbed SUNYAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC selects Delhi's Shaesha Johnson and Cortland's Jennifer Ndukwu as its first Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week respectively for the 2024-25 season.
Shaesha Johnson finished first overall in the 60 meter (7.75) at the Utica Holiday Classic, earning herself an AARTCF qualification and Delhi's school record in the 60m. Johnson's performance earns her the top time in the SUNYAC for the 60m in the opening weekend of competition.
Ndukwu posted two AARTFC qualifying performances at the Utica Holiday Classic on Saturday. She won the weight throw in a field of 45 competitors with a distance of 15.39 meters (50' 6") that currently ranks 17th nationally in Division III. She also finished second of 46 in the shot put at 12.08 meters (39' 7.75").
