Johnson and Laster Named SUNYAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week
CORTLAND, N.Y. - Delhi's Shaesha Johnson and Buffalo State's Makhia Laster earn their second SUNYAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors of the season respectively.
Johnson continues her domination in the women's 60m recording another commanding first place finish at the Utica's Blue & Orange Invitational. Johnson's time of 7.65 earns AARTFC recognition, while breaking the school record that she had previously set earlier this season. Johnson's time also gives her the facility record and places her in top 10 for the 60m this year in all of Dlll.
Laster earned the win for Buffalo State in the long jump at the Brockport Multi on Saturday with a leap of 5.56 meters. Laster currently sits fifth in the nation in the event and atop the SUNYAC.
