SUNYAC Softball Tournament day 1 results
CORTLAND, N.Y. - In day one of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Softball Tournament the top three seeds won the first round games, Thursday in Cortland.
Top seeded Cortland topped No. 6 Fredonia, 15-1, in five innings, No. 2 Geneseo beat No. 5 Brockport, 6-1, and No. 3 Oneonta defeated No. 4 Buffalo State, 3-2.
Game four was an elimination game between Brockport and Fredonia where Brockport came out on top, 10-1, to stay in the tournament.
The tournament continues tomorrow at 9 a.m. as Cortland takes on Buffalo State. Game two will be between Geneseo and Oneonta at 11 a.m. Games to follow at 1 p.m. (Brockport vs. TBD) and 3 p.m. will depend on the outcomes of the first two games of the day.
