SUNYAC Softball Tournament Day 2 results
CORTLAND, N.Y. - After four games on day two of the SUNYAC Softball Tournament, two more teams were eliminated and three teams remain; Cortland, Geneseo and Brockport.
Friday started off with Cortland eliminating Buffalo State in a 8-4 win. In the next game Geneseo topped Oneonta, 2-0, to give the Red Dragons their first loss of the tournament. Brockport gave Oneonta their second loss (4-2) to eliminate them from the tournament. In the last game of the day the two undefeated teams faced off and Geneseo gave Cortland its first loss of the tournament, 8-5. Geneseo is now the only team without a loss which gives them the opportunity to win the crown in just one game Saturday.
The first game Saturday will be between Cortland and Brockport at 11:00 a.m. and the second game will be Geneseo against the winner of the the Cortland/Brockport game at 1:30 p.m. If Geneseo loses, the final game will be Sunday at noon.
