Two SUNYAC Athletes Recognized by ECAC
Two State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) athletes have been named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Week after being named SUNYAC Player of the Week.
Division III – Upstate
Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Kyle Grey—Fredonia State University
Junior, LHP, Frewsburg, N.Y.
Kyle Grey earned a save and a win this week as the Devils went 8-1. He threw four hitless innings against Houghton as the Devils came from behind to win, 5-4. He Struck out four batters and walked none, earning the save in a 5-3 win over Medaille. In 12 1/3 innings this season, Kyle has yielded only three hits and no earned runs, striking out nine and walking none.

Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week
Joe Slavik – SUNY Cortland
Junior, Midfielder, Binghamton, N.Y.
Slavik helped lead #1 Cortland (8-0) to a pair of wins versus ranked teams last week. In a 12-11 double OT victory at home against #3 RIT on Wednesday, Slavik scored three goals and assisted in the game-winner 48 seconds into the second overtime and collected five ground balls. In a 15-12 win at 18th-ranked Plattsburgh on Saturday, Slavik recorded a career-high seven points on three goals and four assists. For the week he scored 11 points on six goals and five assists and recorded six ground balls. He's currently second on the team in scoring with 26 points on 16 goals and 10 assists.
