Four SUNYAC Athletes Named ECAC Player of the Week
Anthony Repetto (North Babylon, NY), Ashley Marshall (Malone, NY), Shauna Hutchinson (Islip Terrace, NY) and Stefan Sloma (Niskayuna, NY) were honored as the Eastern College (ECAC) Player of the Week after being named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week in their respective sport.
Division III – Upstate
Baseball: Player of the Week
Anthony Repetto – SUNY New Paltz
Senior, Left Field, North Babylon, N.Y.
Repetto batted .700 on 7-for-10 hitting in a 3-0 week for the Hawks who sit first in the conference, 8-4. He batted 2-for-3 on Tuesday in an 8-5 win against Fairleigh Dickinson-College at Florham, scoring a run in the process. In game one of Sunday's doubleheader against Fredonia, he led the team with four hits in six at bats. He knocked in a run and scored twice in the 10-8 win. He went 1-for-1 in Sunday's nightcap with an RBI, run, two walks, a hit by pitch and a stolen base. Repetto's average rose to a team-best .402 last week and he is currently riding a 12-game hitting streak. Across those 12 games he is batting an outstanding .585. He also leads the team with 35 hits and a .460 slugging percentage.
Softball: Pitcher of the Week
Ashley Marshall – Plattsburgh State
Senior, Malone, N.Y.
Marshall played a significant role in all four Plattsburgh State victories this past week, posting a 3-0 record with one save. In game one at Union, Marshall tossed a complete-game shutout, allowing four hits and striking out 11. She came out of the bullpen in game two, earning the win in extra-inning after giving up seven hits and two runs through 3.2 innings. Marshall dominated Oswego later in the week, yielding just one hit to the Lakers in two appearances. Marshall held Oswego hitless in game one through 5.1 innings to earn the win before allowing one hit 2.2 innings to pick up a save in game two. Marshall worked 18.2 innings over the four-game span, allowing 12 hits, two runs and one walk while striking out 27 batters.

Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Shauna Hutchinson – SUNY Cortland
Senior, Goalie, Islip Terrace, N.Y.
Hutchinson helped lead the fourth-ranked Red Dragons (12-1, 5-0 SUNYAC) to three wins last week. She played the first half, making four saves, in an eventual 12-11 OT win at Brockport on Tuesday. In an 18-9 victory against Catholic at Muhlenberg College on Thursday, Hutchinson stopped 11 shots and allowed eight goals in 57:17. She concluded the week with 11 saves in an 8-3 win at Buffalo St. on Saturday. For the week, she posted a 2-0 record with a 6.52 GAA and a .619 save percentage. Overall, Hutchinson has a 9-1 record with a 7.63 GAA and a .489 save percentage.
Men's Lacrosee Defensive Player of the Week
Stefan Sloma – SUNY Potsdam
Senior, Goalie, Niskayuna, N.Y.
Sloma made 10 saves in the Bears' 11-10 double-overtime win against Oswego on Wednesday. He then made a career-high 24 saves to keep Potsdam in the game in a 5-4 loss at Oneonta on Saturday. The 24 saves were the most by a Bears goalie in eight years. The performances raised his save percentage to .627 and lowered his goals against average to 7.27.
