Hull, Levy and Ruegge Take SUNYAC Women's Ice Hockey Weekly Awards
SYRACUSE, N.Y – Oswego teammates Mack Hull and Lexi Levy are the SUNYAC Women's Ice Hockey Athlete of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively while Plattsburgh's Kayson Ruegge is the Rookie of the Week.
The Lakers hosted the No. 8 Cortland Red Dragons and senior Hull was once again a force on offense for Oswego earning the SUNYAC Women's Ice Hockey Athlete of the Week for the second straight week. She finished the game with one goal and one assist against the Lakers rivals. Hull currently leads the SUNYAC in points as well as goals.
Against the No. 8 Cortland Red Dragons, Levy stood tall in goal all afternoon. She collected 27 saves with a .964%. Levy is leading the SUNYAC with 154 saves this season. She is also currently second in the conference in save percentage as well as fourth in the conference in goals against average.
Ruegge enjoyed a strong week for the Cardinals, leading the team with three points in two wins. In a Friday night win, the first-year forward scored her first career goal and added an assist as the Cardinals took down Canton 3-1 on the road. In Saturday's 4-0 win against Buffalo State, Ruegge had a power play goal to open the scoring and give herself her first game-winning goal in her career. For the week, she had 12 shots on goal and finished +1.
