Majewski, Levy, and Kemp Claim SUNYAC Women’s Ice Hockey Weekly Awards
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC selects Jenna Majewski, Lexi Levy and Kaydence Kemp as this week's Women's Ice Hockey Athlete, Goaltender, and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
Majewski played a pivotal role in Oswego's success, helping the Lakers secure two more conference victories and clinch a playoff spot. On Friday, she scored a goal in a dominant win at Canton. She followed that up on Saturday with another goal and an assist in a crucial 2-1 road win. Her performance helped the Lakers improve to 18-2-1 overall and 12-1-1 in the SUNYAC, putting them at the top of the conference standings.
Levy had a phenomenal week in net for Oswego, leading her team to crucial wins over Canton with a shutout performance. Levy made 57 saves and posted an impressive .983 save percentage, securing her spot as the Goaltender of the Week. Her solid play helped her team maintain a strong defensive presence throughout the week.
Kemp had a strong weekend for the Bengals, scoring three goals across two matchups. After netting a goal on Friday against Morrisville, Kemp responded with a pair of goals on Saturday, including the game-winning goal and an empty-net goal to seal the win.
