Geneseo captures SUNYAC women's soccer top-seed after regular season play
CORTLAND, N.Y. - Geneseo finished 7-1-1 in conference play to take the No. 1 seed going into the six-team State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's soccer championship tournament.
The first round games will be played at the higher seed on Saturday, November 1. The No. 3 seed Fredonia (5-3-1), will host the No. 6 seed Buffalo State (4-4-1) while the No. 4 seed Oneonta (4-3-2) will play host to fifth-seeded Plattsburgh (4-4-1).
The winner of the Fredonia/Buffalo State game will travel to the second-seeded Cortland (5-2-2) and the winner of the Oneonta/Plattsburgh will go to the top-seeded Geneseo on Wednesday, November 5.
The championship game is set for Saturday, November 8 at 1 p.m. at the highest remaining seed.
