Brockport's Bardenett Named ECAC Pitcher of the Week and Tabbed National Honorable Mention
The College at Brockport's James Bardenett was named the ECAC Upstate Pitcher of the week for March 14-20. The sophomore hurler was also tabbed by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association as honorable mention for Division III national recognition.
Bardenett threw a complete-game, three-hit shutout as Brockport blanked Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 11-0. Making his third start of the season, the right-hander struck out a career-high 10 batters, two better than his previous best of eight. Bardenett retired the first eight batters he faced, and 16 out of 18 at one point. He closed out the game strong, retiring the final nine batters he faced.
