Aaron Schuldt Named ECAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Cortland senior Aaron Schuldt (Liverpool) has been chosen as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Div. III Upstate New York Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 1.
Schuldt allowed only three hits and two walks and struck out a career-high 14 batters in seven innings as Cortland defeated visiting Plattsburgh, 11-0, in a nine-inning game last Friday. For the season, Schuldt is 4-0 with a 1.72 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 36.2 innings pitched.
Cortland is 16-6-1 overall and 4-2 in SUNYAC play. As of April 3, the Red Dragons are ranked sixth nationally by the American Baseball Coaches Association and 17th by D3baseball.com.
