Scott Tota Honored as USILA North Defensive Player of the Week
Cortland senior goalie Scott Tota (Webster/Webster Schroeder) has been selected as the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Men's Lacrosse North Region Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending April 12.
Tota improved his season record to 8-3 as he picked up SUNYAC road wins last week at Geneseo and Plattsburgh. In an 11-9 victory at Geneseo, he stopped 12 shots and picked up two ground balls. He followed that up with 11 saves and four goals allowed in just more than 53 minutes during a 15-9 triumph at Plattsburgh. He posted a 6.90 GAA with 23 saves and a .639 save percentage during the week.
