Kieonna Christmas Tabbed SUNYAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Morrisville's Kieonna Christmas is the SUNYAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 15.
Christmas led Morrisville to a 58-51 win over Elmira Saturday, netting a collegiate best 21 points as she shot 50% from the floor across 31 minutes of action. The freshman collected the double-double with 10 rebounds, snagging two off the offensive glass, while assisting two and collecting a total five steals, adding a block to her totals on the day. Christmas shot 7-for-14 from the floor, including a 2-for-4 effort from beyond the arc, while hitting 5-of-6 free throws. Nine of her points came in the fourth quarter to assist in the win.
