Korzekwinski Recognized as SUNYAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC selects New Paltz's Abby Korekwinski as its Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Korzekwinski led her team to three straight wins on the week, averaging nearly 14 points and eight rebounds in the three-game slate. She scored 10 points on 5-for-10 shooting with seven rebounds and four steals in a rout of Canton Tuesday. She then added 11 points on 4-for-7 shooting in just 17 minutes against Potsdam, while adding six rebounds (five on the offensive glass) with an assist and two steals. Korzekwinski was the catalyst in a hard-fought win over Plattsburgh Saturday, scoring a season-high 20 points and pulling down a game-high 11 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season (a career-high) on an efficient 8-for-13 shooting performance with two assists and three steals.
