Campbell Named SUNYAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC selects Cortland sophomore Kayla Campbell as its Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Campbell averaged 22 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.7 steals per game as Cortland won all three of its contests to take over first place in the SUNYAC standings. She matched her career high with 25 points and added eight rebounds, four steals and three assists in an 86-47 win at Plattsburgh on Friday, and the following afternoon she set a new career best with 29 points and also posted five rebounds and three steals in a 74-44 win at Potsdam. Campbell opened the week Tuesday at home with 12 points, nine rebounds and six steals in a 78-37 win over Buffalo State.
