Simmons Named ECAC DIII Upstate Player of the Week
Buffalo State senior guard Jake Simmons (Rochester, NY) has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Upstate Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Simmons averaged 30.0 points in two games, including finishing one point shy of matching a career best with 42 points in a win over Fredonia. Simmons was 14 of 19 shooting for the game, including 7 of 9 from 3-point range. He shot 56-percent from the field for the week and 60-percent from behind the arc.
Simmons is Buffalo State’s all-time leading scorer averaging 19.6 points-per-game this season. He is on pace to go over 2,000 points for his career.
