SUNYAC honors athletes for performances during the week of Nov. 23-29
CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected its Athletes of the Week for outstanding performances during the week of Nov. 23-29.
MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Kevin Marmolejos (SR)
Buffalo State, Guard (Woodhaven, NY/Beach Channel)
Kevin Marmolejos scored a career-high 32 points as he led Buffalo State to a 98-78 victory over previously undefeated Hobart on Tuesday. The senior guard set a school single-game record with 10 3-pointers, going 10 of 14 from long range. Marmolejos scored the Bengals' first 15 points, going 5 of 5 from 3-point range in the opening 6:27 of the game, giving Buffalo State a 15-4 lead it would never relinquish. He also finished the game with four rebounds, two assists and a steal.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Sabrina Macaulay (SR)
Fredonia, Forward (Newark, N.Y./Newark)
Senior Sabrina Macaulay had a double-double and shot 71 percent from the field in Fredonia's only game of the week. She scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and added four steals and a block in the Blue Devils' 62-51 loss to Nazareth. Macaulay has scored in double figures all three games so far this season and is averaging 17.7 points. She is also averaging 9.3 rebounds and is shooting 61.8 percent from the field (21 of 34) and 90.9 percent from the line (10 of 11).
ICE HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Dillan Fox (SR)
Plattsburgh, Forward (Hummelstown, Pa./Walpole Express)
Dillan Fox had a huge three point weekend in the PrimeLink Tournament to help Plattsburgh State go 2-0-0 and remain unbeaten. On Friday he picked up an assist in a 5-4 win over Middlebury. Saturday in the Championship game with the Cardinals trailing No. 7 Norwich 2-0 on the road he scored the first goal to help spark five-straight goals by the Cardinals. The game would go to OT where Fox netted the game-winner with 49 seconds remaining for the PrimeLink Championship. Fox went on to earn PrimeLink Tournament MVP.

ICE HOCKEY GOALIE OF THE WEEK - Drew Weigman (SO)
Cortland, Goalie (Gaithersburg, MD/Northern Cyclones)
Drew Weigman was named the Most Valuable Player of the Skidmore Invitational after the Red Dragons captured the title over the weekend. In a 4-2 win versus host Skidmore on Saturday, he turned aside 44 shots. Weigman then stopped 24 shots as the Red Dragons (4-3-2) defeated Manhattanville, 6-3, in the championship game on Sunday. For the two games, he posted a 2.50 GAA with a .932 save percentage.
ICE HOCKEY ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Devin McDonald (FR)
Geneseo, Goalie (Calgary, Alta.)
Devin McDonald logged his first collegiate shutout in the Knights' 3-0 victory at Williams on Saturday. Stopping all 23 shots he faced, including 10 in the decisive third period, the first-year remained unbeaten with a 5-0-1 record on the season.
