Brockport takes top spot in Women's Volleyball Preseason Poll
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Brockport was voted to finish No. 1 in the 2021 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's volleyball coaches preseason poll. The first matches since 2019 will start September 1 with conference competition starting September 14.
The Golden Eagles won the conference's last championship in 2019 which was the program's fourth title in five years all under current head coach Steve Pike. Pike was recently named the SUNYAC Women's Volleyball Coach of the Decade. Brockport will look to win its tenth overall SUNYAC women's volleyball crown this season. Cortland holds the most titles in the conference with 19, winning its last championship in 2012. New Paltz, voted No. 2 in the poll, won the title in 2018, 2014 and 2009.
