Cortland's Zack Graczyk Named to D3baseball.com Team of Week
Cortland senior outfielder Zack Graczyk has been chosen to the D3baseball.com national “Team of the Week,” which consists of the top players for the week, by position, among all Division III schools. He is one of three outfielders on the squad. Graczyk was also named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Baseball Player of the Week earlier this week.
Graczyk batted .583 (7-for-12) with a homer, three doubles, eight RBI and five runs scored in a 4-0 week for the Red Dragons. In a 15-6 win at Plattsburgh Sunday, he led off the game with a home run and later in the first inning hit a two-run single to help Cortland take an early 8-0 lead. On Saturday, he doubled twice and drove in three runs in a win over the Cardinals in the first game of a doubleheader. Graczyk also went 2-for-3 with a walk and RBI in a win over SUNYIT Friday.
For the season, Graczyk is batting a team-best .461 with 10 doubles, a triple, a homer, 20 RBI and 25 runs scored. He’s also stolen eight bases and has a .543 on-base percentage.
Cortland (17-4) is ranked first in the latest D3baseball.com national poll.
