Plattsburgh men's ice hockey earns NCAA tourney berth & first round bye
INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA announced its eleven-team Division III Men's Ice Hockey Tournament field on Monday morning, with the Plattsburgh State men's hockey team receiving a first-round bye. The Cardinals will host the winner of Trinity (Conn.) and Nichols on March 21, at 7 p.m. at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena.
The Plattsburgh State department of intercollegiate athletics will not issue ticket information until next Monday (March 16). A complete ticket policy which includes sale dates and ticket prices will be available at that time.Â

There are two other games slated in the first round along with Trinity (Conn.) hosting Nichols. The other two matchups feature SUNYAC rival Oswego State at Hobart and Plymouth State at Norwich. All three games are scheduled for Saturday, March, 14.

Plattsburgh State received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after winning the SUNYAC Championship over Oswego State 2-1.
