Brockport men's soccer earns NCAA tournament bid
Tournament Bracket
The College at Brockport Men's Soccer team found out Monday afternoon that it had received one of the Pool C at large bids to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament. The Golden Eagles (10-3-6) will face Bowdoin (9-6-3) in the first round matchup. The game will be played at Brandies University with the date and time released later Monday.
Brockport finished third in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) regular season standings and postseason tournament and have just three losses on the year with two coming in overtime games.
Bowdoin earned a spot in the tournament on the strength of a solid finish in its New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Tournament with an upset win over Williams in the first round and advancing to the championship game on a 1-1 tie winning the penalty kicks. The Polar Bears tied Amherst in the title game and won its first NESCAC Championship on penalty kicks.
