Potsdam Men's Soccer Helps Blackout Hunger
SUNY Potsdam men's soccer team collected food donations at its first six home games of the 2012 season to help “Blackout” hunger in the North Country.
The Bears concluded their six game food drive by wearing black jersies against Plattsburgh State on Saturday. In their first "Blackout" hunger initiative, the team collected over 300 items throughout the six games. Fans were encouraged to drop off any non-perishable food items in the designated bins for donation to the Potsdam Neighborhood Center, a division of the Food Bank of Central New York.
The SUNYAC men's soccer teams began conference play this past weekend. SUNYAC play in games will take place October 27, the semi-finals October 31 and the finals November 3.
