CSCAA honors SUNYAC teams for academics
CORTLAND, N.Y. - Eleven State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's and women's swimming and diving teams were recently recognized as NCAA Division III Scholar All-America teams by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the 2015 spring semester.
The Brockport women's team was honored with the highest team GPA in the SUNYAC, 3.59, followed by Fredonia with a 3.33. Oswego, New Paltz, Oneonta and Geneseo women's swimming and diving teams were also recognized.
On the men's side, Geneseo lead the SUNYAC with a team GPA of 3.19. Oswego, Brockport, New Paltz and Oneonta men's teams were also honored.
To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the Spring semester.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America -is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
