Clarkson and Hutchinson Named SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week
Buffalo State senior attack Kendyl Clarkson and Cortland junior goalie Shauna Hutchinson were named the SUNYAC Women’s Lacrosse Athletes of the Week.
Clarkson recorded 20 points on five goals and 15 assists in three games as the Bengals finished 2-1. She had two goals and five assists in a 13-12 victory over No.10-ranked Hamilton, and also had a goal and six assists in a win over St. John Fisher earlier in the week. Clarkson now has 301 career points, becoming just the second player in school history to surpass the 300 mark.
Hutchinson helped the fourth-ranked Red Dragons defeat third-ranked The College of New Jersey, 9-8, on Saturday March 17. She made five saves and collected two ground balls as Cortland handed the Lions their first loss of the season.
