Women's Lacrosse 2012 Tournament Quick Facts
The 2012 SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Playoff field has been set, with four teams battling for a chance to win the postseason conference championship and earn the SUNYAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship. SUNY Cortland will serve as the host site with the playoffs set to begin Friday May 4, with two semifinal games followed by the championship game on Saturday May 5.

Before the action begins, here are some quick facts you should know about the conference tournament.
-2012 marks the 16th annual SUNYAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship. The 1997-1998 tournament format was a single game between the top seed from each division. 1999 featured a four team structure of the top two seeds from each division before becoming non-divisional in 2000.
-Cortland has won 14 SUNYAC titles. The only other school to win a women’s lacrosse championship was Oneonta in 1998.
-The #4 seed has never upset the #1 seed.
