Four SUNYAC teams receive Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team honors
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) awarded four State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women’s cross country teams with All-Academic Team honors, as announced Thursday by the association.
Those earning USTFCCCA honors from the SUNYAC included: SUNY Oneonta (3.48 Team GPA), Geneseo (3.31 GPA), SUNY New Paltz (3.27 GPA) and Plattsburgh State (3.15 GPA).

For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Meet. The team must also have a minimum 3.10 team cumulative grade point average.
A total of 167 Division III women’s programs from 35 conference received the USTFCCCA’s All-Academic Team honors this year. The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) led all conferences with 11 members earning All-Academic honors and was followed by the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), which each had nine listed. Whitworth University reported the highest cumulative GPA among All-Academic honorees with a 3.76. Hendrix College followed with a 3.73.
