Berube and Woods Earn Regional Honors in Men's Cross Country
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Tuesday the winners of USTFCCCA Region Athletes and Coaches of the Year honors for the 2010 cross country season in Division III as voted by the division's coaches.
SUNY Geneseo junior Lee Berube and head coach Mike Woods were named the Atlantic Region men's runner and cross country coach of the year. Berube, captured the Atlantic region's individual title last Saturday, two weeks after running to the individual crown at the SUNYAC championship meet. Paced by Berube, the Knights finished in first place at both the regional and conference championships.

Woods has piloted his team to the No. 3 ranking in the most recent USTFCCCA national poll following Geneseo's second consecutive SUNYAC title and the Atlantic championship. The Geneseo men are making their eighth straight trip to the NCAA Division III championships on Saturday November 20 in Waverly, Iowa.
