Oneonta, Cortland and Fredonia Earn Weekly Honors
Oneonta State earned the men's swimmer and female diver of the week while Fredonia took the men's diver and Cortland had the female swimmer of the week.
MEN’S SWIMMING - Oneonta
Alex Miller (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta), junior
Junior Alex Miller was instrumental in the first dual-meet win versus Cortland since 1974 this past Saturday, 122-121. The meet came down to the final relay and Oneonta out-touched Cortland for second place in the relay to earn enough points for the win. Miller won two individual events while swimming a leg on the winning 200-yard medley relay to start the meet. He won the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:02.99 while he also took first in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 54.46.

WOMEN’S SWIMMING - Cortland
Krista Caputo (Staten Island, NY/Curtis), freshman
Krista Caputo was a double winner for Cortland in the 128-115 dual meet victory over Oneonta. Caputo won the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:04.58) and 200-yard freestyle (2:03.52). Her 1,000-yard freestyle time was a new Oneonta pool record. Caputo also led off Cortland's 200-yard freestyle relay team that won in a pool-record time of 1:44.33. The relay victory clinched the dual-meet win for Cortland.

MEN’S DIVING - Fredonia
Ryan Fuller (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott), junior
Ryan Fuller has been named the SUNYAC Men’s Diver of the week for the second time this season. Fuller was a double winner as the Blue Devils won three events against Division II Gannon. The meet consisted of two separate one-meter competitions in which he posted scores of 289.85 and 273.68.
WOMEN’S DIVING - Oneonta
Kara Garbarino (Latham, NY/Shaker), freshman
Kara Garbarino was the only individual to win two events in the dual meet against Cortland on Saturday for Oneonta. Garbarino won both diving events for her fourth and fifth wins of the season. She posted a score of 188.60 in the 1-meter, six dive session and then came back with a score of 145.70 in the 1-meter, five dive session.
