Men's Basketball Player of the Week
John Ivy – SUNY Brockport
Senior, Guard, Rochester, NY
John Ivy had another strong week for the Golden Eagles. Ivy tied a career-high 35 points against Buffalo State on Tuesday evening, helping Brockport beat the Bengals after falling behind early in the game. Ivy hit a last second game-winning shot on Friday night against Oneonta. Against New Paltz he helped spark a second half come-back, helping Brockport remain undefeated in conference play. In three games, Ivy averaged 30.7 points per game. He shot 45% from long range and over 50% from the floor, as well as only missing one free throw. Ivy's performance on Saturday also helped him reach a total of 1,012 career points in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) regular-season games, only the fifth player from any conference team to reach 1,000 career conference points.

Women's Swimmer of the Week
Chelsea Allocco – SUNY New PaltzSenior, Chatham, NJ
Allocco won every event in which she swam across two meets, helping the Hawks go 2-0 for the week. She set an Elting Pool record in the 1,000 freestyle (10:40.94) and also won the 100 freestyle (56.87) in a 125-52 victory over Mount Saint Mary College on Friday. Allocco then helped key New Paltz in a 110-95 road win over SUNY Oneonta on Saturday, finishing first in the 1,000 freestyle (10:56.85) and the 500 freestyle (5:19.09) in addition to swimming a leg on the Hawks' event-winning 400 freestyle relay (3:45.70). Allocco set facility records at Oneonta's pool in the 1,000 freestyle and the 500 freestyle. She currently holds the SUNYAC's top time in the 500 freestyle, the 1,650 freestyle and the 400 individual medley. New Paltz (6-2) has its final tune-up before the 2014 SUNYAC Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m. at
