Long Jumper from Buffalo State Honored as ECAC Athlete of the Week
The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has come out with their men's track and field athlete of the week award, and the winner of Division III Upstate region athlete of the week goes to Rich Pete of Buffalo State. Pete was the only State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) athlete to make the list for men's and women's track and field this week. Congratulations go out to him and Buffalo State for a tremendous week.

Pete won the long jump at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational matching the longest jump in Division III this season, measuring 7.20 meters. He also won the triple jump with a winning mark of 14.53 meters, the fourth-best distance in the nation thus far.
